Steve Vanderploeg is Dutch. He is also a stand-up comedian, improviser and writer from Denver, Colorado. After wasting five and a half years earning a degree in Poetry, Steve started his comedy career, quickly becoming a Denver favorite with his bittersweet outlook, glazed with a punch-line-heavy frosting. Steve’s comedy focuses on the realistic absurdity of being a millennial that hasn’t gotten a participation trophy since kindergarten.

For years, Steve has independently run an award-winning showcase at Chain Reaction Brewing Company, blazing the trail for a dozen other brewery-based shows around Denver. He has been featured on many great festivals across the nation including High Plains Comedy Festival, Cape Fear Comedy Festival and the Memphis Comedy festival, among others. He can be seen regularly playing with dogs.
