Karmen Naidoo is the fastest growing young female comic hailing from South Africa. Karmen continues to pursue her comedy career in New York City, the heart of Comedy since 2016.

This Durban Native who started her comedy Journey in 2013. A former model, entrepreneur, current mechanical engineer and stand up comedian is nothing less than ambitious in following her dreams.

Born into a mixed heritage background, Indian, Scottish and Zulu, she identifies closely to her Afro- Indian culture.

Featured as the only female finalist on Comedy Central’s Grab the Mic (2015), as well as the only female finalist in the Comic- Kaze a nationwide competition hosted by the biggest comedy club in South Africa, Parkers Comedy.

Karmen is a multifaceted individual. She co-founded and was the Director of Indie Comedie a comedy production company, which aimed to nurture young rising talent and fulfilled the role as marketing, social media, producer, manager and director of monthly shows being hosted at the prestigious Joburg Theatre.

Karmen featured in The Bantu Hour, a South African satirical sketch and variety comedy show. Hosted by the legendary come- dian Kagiso Lediga and featuring musician Hugh Masekela.

With over 100 performances in her first year of comedy, this dope girl is quickly becoming a household name, being featured regularly in national newspapers such as The Post, The Mercury, and The City Press.

Her quirky and witty humor has set her apart from the others, her originality and progressive style resonates with both young and old.
