Jefferson Bergey

Jefferson Bergey performs his family-unfriendly music all over the Bay Area and frequently writes custom songs for Bawdy Storytelling. As a solo acoustic act, Bergey's sound is akin to folky musical theater in a coffee shop...if the coffee shop also sold sex toys and sativa gummy bears. His polite vulgarity may not be for the very young and impressionable or the very old and conservative but he won’t tell you how to raise your kids or upset your grandparents.

Bergey is currently recording his follow-up to 2016’s Come For Me, which can be purchased/streamed at all of the predictable places online. He can be seen and heckled every Monday night as the jackass/artist-in-residency at Scopo Divino in San Francisco. Every week he puts on a unique and interactive show where he plays original music and songs suggested by those in attendance who haven’t already left in disgust.

When he isn’t performing his musical smut-with-a-smile, he’s on his best behavior teaching at Starland School of Music in Alameda. He was the cover-story in the San Francisco Chronicle's Datebook as the one of the lead vocalists and consultants of the award-winning bay area chapter of Lucky Devils Band. Bergey also performs for Ivy Hill Entertainment and sings the role of Gregg Allman in a tribute group called Freestone Peaches.  Bergey has performed at Sweetwater, The Independent, The John Steinbeck Association, Special Olympics Summer Games in Long Beach, FaceBook, The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, and about two hundred different venues in the greater Bay Area. He is thrilled to return to SF Sketchfest with Bawdy Storytelling!
