Join Danny and Jody for a fun conversation moderated by Marc Hershon and screening of their hilarious debut film, "The Foot Fist Way." $25 Co-Presented by DoTheBay

A native of North Carolina, Hill attended the prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts which is where he met Danny McBride and David Gordon Green. Hill’s first film, The Foot Fist Way, was paid with family mortgages and credit cards. It premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and caught the attention of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, who championed the film’s release through their production company Gary Sanchez Productions.Jody’s second film was the 2009 dark comedy Observe and Report which starred Seth Rogen, Ray Liotta, Michael Pena and Anna Faris. Danny McBride has become a multi-hyphenate in the truest sense of the word and isgenerating a full plate of varied and interesting projects. His latest is the HBO comedy series,Vice Principals, which he co-created and wrote with Jody Hill. Told over the course of oneschool year over two seasons, Vice Principals premiered in July 2016 and recently concluded thesecond last November 12 th , 2017. Proclaimed by Rolling Stone as “The Summer’s best newcomedy” and winner of the Audience Award at the 2016 SXSW Film Festival, the show alsomarked McBride’s directorial debut as he directed multiple episodes, adding another skill to hisgrowing repertoire.Vice Principals is McBride’s second HBO comedy series, the first being Eastbound andDown, which he also co-created, wrote, and produced with Jody Hill.
