SF Sketchfest NightLife
SF Sketchfest is back for NightLife at the California Academy of Sciences, an amazing night of comedy, science, eating and drinking for adults over 21! This year's event includes a panel with the Dana Gould and the cast of his IFC hit "Stan Against Evil:" Deborah Baker, Jr., Nate Mooney, Steven Ogg and Janet Varney, moderated by Paco Romane. Dana Gould will also be part of the stand-up comedy lineup, which also features Bay Area favorites Josef Anolin, Arjun Banerjee, Nicole Calasich, Emily Catalano, Nate Follen, Imran G and Valerie Vernale, and visiting comics Shain Brenden, Shannon Noll, Clare O'Kane, Greg Santos, JoAnn Schinderle, Eddie Della Siepe and Blake Wexler. "This Week in Science" returns with a live version of their popular podcast, comedically discussing the latest in science news; "Talking Simpsons" hilariously explores the long-running animated TV staple; and "Thinkers and Drinkers" combines two of your favorite things: booze & science! Actor/comedian/writer Baron Vaughn graduated from Boston University's theatre program and immediately went on to the Williamstown Theatre Festival. That same year he was cast in DROWNING CROW with Alfre Woodard on Broadway. He was also featured in DAMN YANKEES at the NY City Center with Jane Krakowski and Sean Hayes. Baron is a series regular on GRACE AND FRANKIE which is about to go into production on its fourth season for Netflix. Baron will also be the voice of Tom Servo in the much-anticipated reboot of MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 for Netflix, premiering mid-April. Baron’s documentary about the search for his father, FATHERLESS, will premiere on Fusion in early April. Other television/film credits include GIRLS, COMEDY BANG BANG, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, CLOVERFIELD, and BLACK DYNAMITE. As a comedian, Baron has toured all over the country performing at festivals, clubs and theatres. He has been featured on NBC’s LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON and twice on CONAN on TBS. He has had a half hour special on Comedy Central, and his comedy album, RAISED BY CABLE, is available on iTunes.Irene Tu is a San Francisco based stand-up comedian, writer, and actor. In 2016, she was named one of the “Bay Area’s 11 Best Stand Up Comedians” by the SFist and one of 20 “Women to Watch” by KQED.
